Training
The Montreal Model team provides training and education for healthcare professionals interested in integrative approaches to ketamine therapy. Training draws on the model’s development and implementation in public healthcare settings, combining its theoretical and scientific foundations with practical clinical experience.

Delivering Ketamine-Assisted Therapy in the NHS: CIM-Ket
In October 2026, we will join colleagues from Imperial College London and the Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL) to deliver the first formal, in-person European training in the Montreal Model and its UK-NHS adaptation, CIM-Ket.
CIM-Ket (CNWL–Imperial–Montreal Ketamine Therapy) adapts the Montreal Model to the UK healthcare context and is currently in active clinical pilot use at the CIPPRes Clinic at Imperial/CNWL.
Over two days, the programme will explore the theory, evidence, and clinical application of both models, including patient assessment and preparation, pharmacology, setting and music, integration, and implementation within existing healthcare systems.
Drs. Kyle Greenway and Nicolas Garel will join a multidisciplinary faculty from Imperial College London and CNWL in delivering the programme.

Clinical Training with Aurora Healthcare
In May 2026, we brought the Montreal Model to Australia, where Dr. Nicolas Garel delivered a two-day workshop hosted by Aurora Healthcare at Belmont Private Hospital in Brisbane. The workshop brought together psychiatrists from across the Aurora Healthcare network for clinical education and international knowledge exchange.
Drawing on our work developing the Montreal Model, the workshop explored evolving approaches to treatment-resistant depression, including medication-assisted therapies within broader therapeutic frameworks and the adaptation of international treatment models to Australian clinical and regulatory contexts.

Inaugural Montreal Model Workshop 🎉
On May 29th and 30th, 2025, we hosted the inaugural two-day workshop on the Montreal Model of ketamine therapy for treatment-resistant depression. The event brought together 80 healthcare professionals from across disciplines and around the world to share the origins, philosophy, and practical structure of the model.
Grounded in nearly a decade of public healthcare experience, the workshop explored each phase of our integrative protocol, from evaluation and preparation to dosing sessions, music, and integration, alongside the model’s scientific foundations and lessons learned from its real-world clinical application.
We were thrilled to bring together such a diverse group of clinicians and researchers to learn,
exchange ideas, and contribute to the conversation!
A heartfelt thank you to our incredible team of volunteers whose dedication made the workshop possible, and to all the attendees who joined us and brought it to life.
